Computer Draftsman:

Cogbill Construction, in Vidor, TX, is looking for a
Computer Draftsman/Designer to perform the following tasks:1- Draw and design two-dimensional parts and components for engineering drawings and/or to be processed on our Plasma CNC table.

2- Assist our estimation department with material takeoffs, and possibly become an estimator.

3- Go to customer job sites and sketch structures, parts, and components, and prepare and present reports on conditions, environments, dimensions, requirements, operations, etc.

4- Help implement quality standards and document processes in all related activities

Requirements:

MUST RESIDE IN THE SOUTHEAST TEXAS REGION:

_2-6_ years experience as a Draftsman
Possess a 2year
associate degree in drafting from an accredited college or university
Willingness to work in the fabrication shop as well as customer worksites
Willingness to observe all safety rules, including shaving whenever required
Proficient in reading plate/structural/pipe blueprints and layouts
Knowledge of the various aspects of structural design
Pass drug and background checks.
Must have a valid driver's license.

Preferences:

Ability to do material takeoffs and some costestimating
A person who could develop into becoming a cost estimator in metal fabrication
Ability to assist our marketing department with graphics designs and AutoCAD 3D rendering and animation
Strong communication and computer skills and professional appearance
