Job Description / responsibilities:

Dispatch independent contractor drivers to handle collection and deliveries in New York / New Jersey metro area and all local airports.
Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance.
Use phone or computer (E-Courier) to send drivers to appropriate locations.
Monitor the route and status of drivers to coordinate and prioritize their schedule.
Provide drivers with information about shipments, traffic, obstacles, and requirements.
Enter data in the computer system (E-Courier) and maintain records of calls, activities, and other information.
Maintain contact with drivers throughout the day.
Collaborate with management to modify daily jobs to accommodate the needs of clients.
Act as a communication liaison and answer incoming phone calls from drivers on the road and clients.
Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with lastminute schedule changes.
Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions.
Monitor any sudden job changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries.
