Summary:


The Service Inventory Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the service department operates smoothly by managing and maintaining inventory levels of parts, equipment and supplies essential for servicing customers.

This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with the service technicians and Supervisor.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels for service parts, equipment, and supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder products as needed to prevent stockouts.
  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas for easy access and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with service technicians to fulfill service orders for parts and tools needed.
  • Receive incoming shipments of parts and supplies, verify contents, and process into inventory system.
  • Record all transactions accurately in the inventory management systems (Google docs & Google Sheets).
  • Issue parts and supplies to service technicians according to job orders and requisitions.
  • Prepare and package parts for outgoing shipments as needed.
  • Collaborate with service technicians to fulfill service orders for parts and tools needed.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors regarding orders, deliveries, and returns.
  • Conduct inspections for the service van to insure they are being properly maintained and stock is full.
  • Assemble new van arrivals for the department (order material & tools for startup use).
  • Make emergency parts or tools deliveries to service technicians as needed.
  • Complete misc. items or tasks assigned by management.

Knowledge & Skills:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in inventory handling is desirable.

Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 1 year in a similar role.

$ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
