This is a casual/per diem position working 8-hour day shifts generally from 8am-4:30pm. No weekends or holidays. Ideally work a minimum of 4 shifts in 4 weeks. Join Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo as Registered Nurse (RN) - Specialized Services - Cancer Treatment Room and make a difference in the lives of the patients we serve,
With nine chairs doing infusion of chemotherapy drugs, you will have a Charge Nurse and a Supervisor supporting the department.
You will review patients' labs prior to getting treatment and work with the pharmacy, if necessary, work with the pharmacy. You will educate patients and be knowledgeable of possible adverse effects of chemotherapy.
Additionally, you will perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration as appropriate. Educate patients and document patient interactions. Practice infection control. Contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within your own scope of practice.
