    Position OverviewNavistar is seeking a Process Development Engineer to join our team at our Manufacturing Facility in San Antonio, TexasThe Navistar San Antonio Manufacturing Plant is a benchmark facility that builds leading-edge commercial vehicles to meet the needs of today's - and tomorrow's - customers.

    By using proven engineering and leading technology and manufacturing principles, Navistar takes mobility and transport to a new level of impact.

    This facility has the flexibility to build Class 6-8 trucks along with Electric Vehicles that allow Navistar to add capacity to support anticipated industry growth.

    Using the Internet of Things (IoT) and connected manufacturing principles, Navistar's newest manufacturing facility will continue growing our market share gains.

    ResponsibilitiesProcess EvaluationsLine BalancingErgonomics EvaluationsDaily Production SupportSupport New Product LaunchCreate Labor StandardsConduct Time StudiesFoster and Lead Practical Problem-Solving activitiesMaintain Layout for Assigned work AreaOther Activities as Assigned Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degreeORAt least 2 years of product manufacturing experience Additional RequirementsQualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.

    Desired SkillsPositive Attitude, Ethics, and International Values which support our company's values, and a healthy, high-performance cultureAuto or heavy truck manufacturing experienceExperience with project leadership/management assignments taking one or more products from concept to manufacturingAbility to plan, design and complete multiple projectsThorough knowledge of product development processExperience in an automotive or heavy industry production environmentKnowledge of quality tools and their proper useAbility to lead design reviewsExperience with manufacturing processesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, highly motivated, organized, and self-disciplinedAbility to work in a team environment and with customers/suppliersComputer utilization (i.e.

    project management, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, databases)Proficient in AutoCADDevelops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacturingDetermines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product linesMaintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operationsExperience with Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST)Support the production hours when production is runningHighly Desired:
