As part of a succession plan, we are looking for a Diploma in Social Pedagogy/Social Work or Bachelor's degree in Social Work (m/f/d) to join our support center for offenders (20 hours) and the associated residential home (10 hours) for a total of 30 hours per week, starting on August 1, 2024 and with an indefinite contract.


The Diakonieverband Buxtehude Stade is a collaboration of church counseling centers located in the beautiful Unterelbe district of Stade, just a short one-hour drive from Hamburg.

With approximately 60 full-time employees and 150 volunteers, we provide a variety of support and counseling services based on the Christian concept of humanity.


Since 1980, 14 support centers for offenders in Lower Saxony have been providing counseling and assistance to individuals who have completed their sentences, with the goal of rehabilitation and integration.

These centers work closely with social services within the justice system, job centers and employment agencies, housing companies, addiction counseling centers, probation services, and other offices, authorities, and institutions.

The associated residential home with 10 units offers temporary housing during the transition period while individuals search for their own permanent residence.
