SUMMARY:
_The_OpX_Analyst reports to a_Director_or Manager in the Operational Excellence division.

Under general supervision and within Lifespan established policies the_OpX_Analyst analyzes evaluates manages reports and consults on various sources of quality safety patient_experience_and other performance data throughout Lifespan.

Statistically supports the evidence-based development and implementation of Lifespan
- s improvement agenda for clinical excellence service excellence operational_excellence_and patient safety. Statistically supports the implementation of Lifespan
- s applied evidence-based performance improvement initiatives._


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor
- s Degree is required;Master
- s degree in Public Health Healthcare Administration Business or a similar field is preferred. Six Sigma Green Belt Certification required within 24 months of employment.


EXPERIENCE:


Two to five years of experience in an analytic role in a health care setting or demonstrated experience in research statistical analyses quantitative and qualitative assessment.

Strong analytical systems-thinking project management and facilitation skills aimed at performance improvement. High level of interpersonal and communications skills to effectively consult with all levels of leadership management and non-management employees.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides support and leadership for Lifespan
- s Quality Priorities service and treatment settings.

Designs and delivers methodologies and process improvement programs aimed at decreasing variation and eliminating waste.

Manages assigned administrative aspects of projects directly or through departmental secretary to include but not limitedto:

scheduling rooms producing program announcements handouts and follow-up communications; arranging for provision of audiovisual hardware and software; overseeing registration of participants preparing program documentation as needed.

Provide assessment and program outcome measures. Ensures the accuracy validity and timeliness of all work.

Develops and improves performance measurement strategies methodologies and activities. Performance measurement strategies methodologies and activities may include but are not limited to research proposals the identification of performance metrics the identification of primary and secondary data sources and data management (i.e. developing and appropriately manipulating electronic performance data repositories to support departmental analytic activities).

Proactively evaluates all performance data for statistical accuracy and validity and searches for and identifies statistical threats to performance data accuracy and validity.


Collaborates with directors and managers under theOpX/quality functions department managers frontline staff and outside organizations on obtaining accuratereliableand timely data supporting performance improvement activities.

Identifies collects and analyzes data specific to improvement projects.

Use collected data to define and measure quality processes identify variation from accepted standards of practice and define patterns and trends.

Facilitate appropriate intervention and follow-up to include documentation and monitoring of corrective action plans developed in answer to quality-compromised issues.

Align data collection to accurately measure process steps (under investigation) for improving quality program initiatives. Monitor quality improvement programs and act as a resource on quality metrics and performance measurement for Lifespan.

Under the guidance of aDirectoror a Manager in Operational Excellence functions as leader and/or participant in targetedOpXinitiatives. Facilitates consults and engages physicians and staff at all levels in the Lean Six Sigma andOpXprocesses. Leads site or system-wide improvement teams using various performance improvement methodologies (e.g. DMAIC methodologies six sigma team leadership root cause analysis FMEA). Responsible for collecting data and leading team toward implementing successful improvement strategies. Coordinates and supports the implementation of improvement tactics in alignment with organizational priorities.

Performs other related duties as needed.
