    ** Buffet Attendant**

    ** Buffet Attendant**

    xxThis position is responsible for maintaining adequate food items on buffet and service supplies, i.e., plates, bowls, etc. Acts as a runner between the kitchen and dining room, carrying items to and from the restaurant. This position must retrieve new trays of food and supplies intermittently throughout the shift. After meal service is complete, this position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing a variety of areas within the dining room, including, but not limited to the buffet, aisle and counter areas, and server side stations.

    **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.

    Replenishes and maintains adequate service supplies and utensils to include, but not limited to: china, glasses, coffee mugs, napkins and silverware.

    Knows all menu items and buffet items, their garnishes, contents and preparation methods; relays that information to the guest in a direct, concise and friendly way.

    Maintains floor area in dining room, kitchen entrance area and aisle so that it is clean at all times.

    Ensures that all guest contact is done in a warm, hospitable and welcoming manner.

    Smiles

    Notifies manager immediately of guest opportunities.

    Assists co-workers whenever needed.

    Reports needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.

    Reports gratuities in accordance with company guidelines and federal law.

    Responsible for knowing and abiding by all department, Crestline and hotel policies and procedures.

    **Minimum Qualification Requirements**

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Sets up and breaks down buffets.

    Keeps all dining room buffets replenished, stocked, clean and sanitary.

    Maintains and places food in the proper area of service, and presents in an appealing manner.

    After service is complete, removes food from service areas and prepares serving areas for the next serving time by stocking needed supplies.

    Practices the safe handling, preparation and storage of food in ways that prevent food borne illness.

    Practices safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others.

    Cleans all counters, shelves and machines daily.

    Busses tables according to standard procedures.
