Scope:


Status:
Non-Exempt


Responsibilities:


  • Safely transport clients using a designated vehicle, ensuring the comfort and wellbeing throughout the journey
  • Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, which may involve using a wheelchair, walker, or other mobility aids
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle environment
  • Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Adhere to established schedules and routes
  • Maintain a clear and professional communication with clients, staff and healthcare providers
  • Document transportation activities and complete trip logs as required
  • May assist clients with errands or other needs as directed by staff
  • Other duties as assigned within scope of role by the CEO to drive DLCP mission, values and vision

Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Minimum of 1 year of safe driving experience
  • Ability to lift and assist clients with limited mobility (up to 50 lbs)
  • Excellent customer service skills and a patient, positive demeanor
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to safety

Shelter Program Administrator


Physical Capacity:

Must be able to sit and stand for 20 minutes and lift at least 50 lbs.
