Summary

The Customer Service Clerk for the Distribution Center will work with the Office Manager to effectively organize and support all daily office activities and assist all senior-level management, as directed.

Additionally, they assist vendors and customers, as needed, and maintain a friendly, energetic demeanor.

This position reports directly to the Transportation Manager and will be located at the FTM distribution center in Bolingbrook, IL, in-office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Greet all guests to the company, ensuring that they feel welcome and are received by employees promptly.
Answer incoming telephone calls in a friendly and professional manner and direct them to the appropriate person for assistance.
Provide quality customer service by responding to questions and concerns, resolving problems, and provides support and feedback to the office manager.
Prepare daily reports.
Filing, follow up calls, data entry, and general office work.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
Flexibility to adapt in a variety of situations.
Must have advanced attention to detail with the capability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Must have strong knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Proven planning and organizing skills.
Ability to multitask and have excellent organizational skills is essential.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.
Customer service experience in a food distribution environment with experience is preferred.

Physical Demands

Prolonged sitting behind a computer screen.
The ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
The potential for prolonged standing, walking, squatting and/or bending.

Environmental Conditions

Some extreme temperatures are possible. Some ventilation and exhaust fans.
Must be able to work flexible hours, such as weekends, holidays and/or evenings, as necessary.
