_We are seeking qualified, full time Toddler/2'sTeachers Assistants willing to work 9:00am-6:00pm._


At Dandelion Nursery and Preschool (DNPS), we have recently rebranded ourselves and clarified our purpose of creating loving, healthy environments for young children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years.

We are looking for some creative new staff to help us realize this vision - lead and assistant teachers, for the infant, toddler and preschool classrooms.


We are quite interested in hiring staff who have creative gifts they'd like to share with our young students - do you love art and want to make some process art with young ones? Do you love music and want to sing and dance with young ones? We are eager for you to share your talents with our community DNPS empowers teachers to use emergent curriculum that supports the child's interests and what the children want to learn, not to an outdated, dusty program.

We focus on creating play-based learning experiences for our children and we gently guide their learning.

We have 5 classrooms and are located in River West in Chicago. We love to create joyful opportunities to playfully learn every day, from 7:00AM-6:00PM. We are situated near a park and take our kiddos out there every day.

  • Can gracefully manage all of the routine childcare tasks: washing hands and faces; wiping noses, bottoms and tears.
If you're interested in an assistant teacher position, we are looking for staff who additionally:

  • Are comfortable taking direction from others.
  • Are comfortable cleaning the materials and spaces that children use.
  • Are flexible and can pivot on a dime.

Pay:
$ $19.00 per hour

Experience:


  • Play Based, Reggio Emilia, Montessori, or Waldorf classroom: 1 year (preferred)
- daycare or classroom: 1 year (required)
