The purpose of the role:

The offsite warehouse material handlers are responsible for loading / unloading trucks, staging material for shipment, and ensuring accurate handling of materials

Job Duties May Include:

Maintains a safe and clean work area and equipment and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Pulls raw material for usage; receiving raw material; moving WIP product.
Monitors product for quality defects.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Standup forklift experience preferred.
1 year of manufacturing experience preferred

NOTE:
Some assignments require the use of air powered tools / hand tools. Experience using hand tools preferred.

Basic reading and math skills. Must be able to follow directions. High attention to detail.
Exercises independent initiative/judgement in work methods.
Ability to lead by example, respectfully work with a team, and communicate with clarity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; English speaking and comprehension required.

This job operates in a manufacturing environment, and the employee is regularly exposed to loud noises and machinery in an environment that is hot in the summer / cool in the winter.

Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment including eye protection, hearing protection, work boots, hardhats, etc.

Physical requirements
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time and perform repetitive motion type tasks regularly.

Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance, and occasionally lift greater than 50 pounds.

Ability to endure heat in a warehouse environment.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration, repetitive motion, bending, lifting, twisting, crouching, reaching, pushing and/or pulling.

While performing this position, the employee frequently works near powered forklifts, power tools, and automated assembly machinery.
