Job Summary and Qualifications:

As an
Echo Cardiac Sonographer, you would perform all established echocardiography procedures. While communicating the nature of the procedure to the patient, you will address any questions or concerns.

  • You would recognize sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal tissue, structures and blood flow while adjusting scanning techniques to optimize image quality and spectral waveform.
  • Analyze sonographic findings throughout the course of the examination so a comprehensive exam is complete and sufficient data is provided to the physician to render a final diagnosis.
  • You will initiate additional scanning techniques or administer contrast agents as indicated by the examination.
  • Work in partnership with other healthcare professionals to provide the best medical care possible for all patients.
  • You will perform stress echo testing when needed.

What qualifications you will need:


  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program. RDS eligible or registered.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
  • Minimum of 2 years of cardiac/echo sonographer experience.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
