We are seeking a collaborative team member who has a passion for outdoor educational programming, event coordination, community outreach, and teaching The Programming Coordinator will work directly with the Director of Programming to assist in the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of all programs within the Educate and Entertain pillars of The Forge.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:


Educate Programming Responsibilities:


  • Schedule and hire teaching assistants for on site educational programs, Camp Counselors for summer camp.
  • Teach and Assist Education sessions for school, scout and corporate groups.
  • Build and run Scout programming. outreach, coordination and implementation of Merit Badge Days, scout outings and large council events
  • Assist and show leadership at all Educate events on site as well as off site events when necessary
  • Assist with all Summer Camp administrative duties such as, but not limited to, organizing and updating camp intake registrations and health forms, parent communication, training manuals and program guides.
  • Act as Summer Camp Assistant Director working closely with Camp Director on day to day camp operations, staff and programming.
  • Assist with camp pre season preparations and post camp clean up as well as organize and run first day check ins
  • Take ownership of updating program specific manuals and program guides and safety procedures.
  • Assist in creating, scheduling and overseeing Conservation Sundays, and other outdoor education/recreational programs and events

Entertainment Programming Responsibilities:


  • Bepart of the team who manages the day of execution for concerts and festivals.
  • Assist in set up/tear down of space, scheduling and booking vendors and support staff required for each event
  • Updating Seasonal Vendor and Event contact spreadsheet
  • Other duties as assigned to support all Programming events and occasionally TFCA nonprofit events and projects

PHYSICAL AND SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
This position is Full Time with responsibilities both on weekdays, weekend days and evenings depending on the event.

  • You must be comfortable and willing to climb as necessary
  • You need to be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds in
  • If you don't already have them, you will need to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
