Carpenter Helper/laborer - Chester County, PA, United States - Grey Noll Designs

Description

• Assist carpenters with various tasks on construction sites
• Carry and set up materials and tools for carpentry projects
• Measure, cut, and shape rough and finish materials according to specifications
• Assist with framing, including cutting and installing beams, joists, and studs
• Help with the installation of doors, windows, and hardware
• Assist with the installation of cabinets, countertops, and other fixtures
• Aid in the construction of walls, floors, and roofs
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and jobsites.
• Selective demolition as needed.
• May also perform trade specific tasks under the direction and supervision of tradesmen.
• Maintain clean construction site free of debris and hazards
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area

• Knowledge of finishing techniques for wall finishing
• Experience with frame carpentry, including measuring, cutting, and assembling structures
• Capability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
• Familiarity with all aspects of finish materials including tile, flooring, trim, cabinetry, drywall, painting, etc.
• Competence in using power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders
• Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints and gaps
• Experience in remodeling projects, including demolition and reconstruction
