    Description
    Packaging Engineer

    Location:
    Onsite in Hanover, PA

    Candidates requiring work visa sponsorship need not apply.

    This role requires the selected candidate to go onsite 4 days per week.


    The individual will have accountability to their packaging projects to assure they meet quality and consumer expectations while maintaining project schedule.


    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Packaging development with various materials:
    fiberboard, corrugated, plastics, films
    Execute basic projects with complete scope from primary through tertiary packaging development
    Approval of specifications and BOMs
    Generation and execution of test plans and reports
    Creation and maintaining of time lines
    Completion of qualification programs for new package designs and materials
    Experience with salty snack packaging is preferred.


    CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
    The successful candidate would have 3+ years of relevant experience in package development. A preference will be towards candidates that have experience in "foods" packaging areas.


    The candidate should have a BS degree in Package Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with substantial work history in package engineering / development.

    Written and oral communications skills is a must.
    Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    Candidate must demonstrate leadership and the ability to be a strong team player.

    Candidates with flexibles packaging experience will be preferred.
