- Execute the sales process by implementing the following key steps; develop product knowledge, prospect, and approach potential new clients, access their needs, present product info and continuously follow-up.
- Investigate and resolve customer questions with a high sense of urgency.
- Conduct marketing research and compile prospective customer lists utilizing; personal networks, social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.), business directories, industry ads, trade shows, company websites, and other sources.
- File appropriate paperwork with accounting for credit terms
- Facilitate product delivery to Fortune's customers based on the company's production and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Operations to ensure inventory levels meet customer demand.
- Work to quote strategic pricing with guidance from VP of sales and other senior sales staff.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years outside sales experience selling perishable food products - seafood experience highly preferred. Past experience as a Chef highly desired.
- Education: Culinary certification and/or degree preferred, but not required.
- Communications: Have highly developed English verbal communication skills. Spanish is a plus.
- Personal Attributes: Be highly motivated, personable and exhibit a history of successfully working in a high paced environment. Must be a self-starter and quick study to learn Fortune's products and operations rapidly.
