Key Responsibilities:


The Health and Safety Supervisor is responsible for assisting operations personnel with compliance of the Health and Safety policies and procedures in support of achieving the zero-incident safety vision within company.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and OSHA Regulations, ensure the safety and wellbeing of all employees and visitors to the facility.
  • Maintenance of the sitespecific health and safety policy and procedure manual, and implement the Health and Safety policies for both operational and safety functions
  • Will assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs to ensure that the appropriate training is available to all site personnel
  • Will conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and develop recommendations for actions to prevent injury recurrence
  • Will manage the Transitional Duty/Medical Management program for the location, and support the processing of injured or ill employees through the Workers Compensation System
  • Actively promote Health and Safety policies and communicate all policies and procedures to Operations
  • Serve as company representative with regulatory inspections related to health and safety.
  • Execution of proactive safety activities (audits, inspections) to prevent injuries and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
  • Support contractor management initiatives including prequalification, site induction training, insurance verification, and other oversight of contractor activities on site
  • Actively participate in plantwide, departmental, and tool box meetings
  • Adhere to all RWC and OSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
  • Meet or exceed company safety standards

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
  • 1year of health and safety experience in manufacturing or industrial environment that includes program administration

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Working knowledge of OSHA, and DOT Regulations

Working Conditions

  • Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
  • Must wear protective equipment while at the location

Physical Requirements

  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
  • Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls.

Pay:
$55, $75,000.00 per year
