Key Responsibilities:

The Health and Safety Supervisor is responsible for assisting operations personnel with compliance of the Health and Safety policies and procedures in support of achieving the zero-incident safety vision within company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and OSHA Regulations, ensure the safety and wellbeing of all employees and visitors to the facility.
Maintenance of the sitespecific health and safety policy and procedure manual, and implement the Health and Safety policies for both operational and safety functions
Will assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs to ensure that the appropriate training is available to all site personnel
Will conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and develop recommendations for actions to prevent injury recurrence
Will manage the Transitional Duty/Medical Management program for the location, and support the processing of injured or ill employees through the Workers Compensation System
Actively promote Health and Safety policies and communicate all policies and procedures to Operations
Serve as company representative with regulatory inspections related to health and safety.
Execution of proactive safety activities (audits, inspections) to prevent injuries and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
Support contractor management initiatives including prequalification, site induction training, insurance verification, and other oversight of contractor activities on site
Actively participate in plantwide, departmental, and tool box meetings
Adhere to all RWC and OSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
Meet or exceed company safety standards

Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
1year of health and safety experience in manufacturing or industrial environment that includes program administration

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Working knowledge of OSHA, and DOT Regulations

Working Conditions

Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
Must wear protective equipment while at the location

Physical Requirements

Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls.

Pay:
$55, $75,000.00 per year
