    is seeking qualified candidates for the position of

    Project Director

    for

    the

    anticipated

    USAID Funded Integrated Health Systems Strengthening Activity (IHSS).


    The IHSS Activity will have an award ceiling between $300m and $500m with a global scope of work, potentially ranging up to 30 countries concurrently.

    The IHSS Activity will support the achievement of

    sustainable,

    equitable

    and resilient health systems through

    locally-led

    , evidence-driven, and context-specific approaches to HSS, thereby contributing to advancing

    primary health care,

    accelerating progress toward UHC, and improving health outcomes.

    Job Summary:

    The Project Director will lead

    the project and

    be

    responsible for

    achieving the project's vision and strategy, directing the project technical team, and managing critical relationships with

    USAID,

    national and international partners

    ,

    and other key stakeholders.

    They will have

    overall programmatic and fiscal responsibility for the project, including achieving project results, effectively communicating accomplishments

    , and ensuring compliance with all US government and the organization's regulations.
    This position is contingent upon

    successful

    award.

    Accountabilities:

    Serve as primary liaison with USAID

    Develop and execute overall project strategy and work plan and achievement of project results.

    Direct and

    monitor

    implementation of activities within the work plan, ensuring that activities are performed to a high professional standard

    and are consistent with best practices in the industry

    , effectively implemented, and fulfill donor and the organization's requirements.

    Manage effective consortium relationships to ensure

    consistently excellent delivery

    Provide direction on senior-level policy and technical dialogue with

    international and national counterparts

    .

    Promote data use and o

    versee project collaborative learning and adaptation

    ; facilitate and promote thought leadership

    Represent and/or ensures FHI 360 is represented at technical meetings, conferences, and workshops.

    Ensure the

    timely


    and complete submission of all performance reports and responses to donor requests for performance, success stories, and financial information for the project.

    Provide oversight for the project's

    financial management

    systems and ensure that they are in line with the organization's policies and procedures and donor rules and regulations.

    Responsible for creating, promoting, and

    maintaining

    safe and

    equitable

    work environments for all personnel, including a harassment- and violence-free work culture, and systems for safeguarding project participants

    Recruit, supervise, mentor, and motivate project team which includes staff from the organization

    (including all senior management staff)

    and international and national partners.

    Ensure effective communication across the entire project with team and relevant stakeholders.

    Coordinate with other donor implementing partners on common

    objectives

    and activities, as needed.

    **Master's Degree or its International Equivalent

    in

    public health

    , public administration, international development, or a related field

    .

    Project Management (PM) Certification preferred.

    Experience:

    **Typically

    requires 15+ years of relevant experience

    with project management principles and practices (including 10+ years of strategic leadership and/or line management experience).

    Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of Chief of Party

    or Project

    Director experience on

    USG funded

    projects

    in LMICs

    ; global

    projects with country buy-ins preferred

    Experience

    in senior leadership roles on

    multi-country projects

    with buy-ins from country Missions

    Proficient with applicable rules, regulations, and policies associated with international development and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

    Extensive

    experience

    of USG funded projects

    Demonstrated strategic planning, staff development and

    capacity

    building experience.

    Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex projects that are strategic in nature and

    national/international

    in scope

    with a highly skilled and globally distributed senior management team

    Experience in managing complex activities involving coordination with multiple partner institutions.

    Demonstrated experience with implementing

    best practices in

    health systems strengthening (HSS) programs

    Experience working in a non-governmental organization (NGO)

    or equivalent organization

    .

    Extensive experience providing technical assistance to LMIC governments

    The expected

    US Based

    hiring salary

    range for this role is listed below. Candidates FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location.

    When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to:

    relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget.
    Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 12% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account.

    Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours/week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year.

    Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule.
    US Based Hiring Salary Range:

    $133,000 - $170,000
