Licensed Vocational Nurse - Madera, United States - Madera County Office Of Education

Description

Under the direction of the Executive Director, Student Programs and Services and the school nurse, provide nursing and other related services to students in severely disabled programs.

Maintain records and document the provision of health care procedures.

Employees in this classification receive general supervision from an assigned administrator and work on a regular basis with a School Nurse within a well-defined course of established policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination equivalent to:
one year of full-time experience in a nurse-care program or a program serving the needs of the physically handicapped


LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse License.
Possession of a valid CPR certification and Red Cross First Aid certification.
Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license. Incumbents must be insurable by the liability carrier for the Madera County Superintendent of Schools.
