    Description

    General Description

    We are looking for a leader to make Finance a go-to support system for our dynamic, high-growth business. You will likely have a broad skillset and a desire to utilize it instead of being kept in a box. Journal entries, cash flow forecasts, and working closely with other senior leaders on investment decisions are all part of the work flow, but with a strong emphasis on the higher-value activities. You will be key member of the Leadership Team, able to explain financial results to our private equity board members. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be actively engaged with the Leadership Team to understand the qualitative side of the business and create the best outcomes through quantitative analysis.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    · Manage the corporate accounting function, including the preparation of financial statements, general ledger management, and reconciliation of accounts

    · Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting

    · Prepare and analyze financial forecasts (e.g. 13-week cash flow, 5-year outlook), budgets, and variance reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance and identify areas for improvement. Create commentary with other senior leaders to provide context on performance

    · Actively monitor cash flow, investment activities, and financial risk management to optimize the company's liquidity position and mitigate financial risks

    · Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic financial initiatives that align with business objectives and drive sustainable growth

    · Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

    · Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with statutory reporting and tax requirements

    · Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement

    · Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability

    · Understand and foster an understanding of when insource or outsource functions for the current growth stage of the company

    Additional job duties

    · Establish cost allocation protocols for determining how we price products and services by volume

    · Identify opportunities and cost-effective solutions for automating accounting processes, creating more time for value-added analyses

    · Work with lenders on financing opportunities from capex to lines of credit, and work with investors on equity investments and cap tables

    Requirements

    · Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

    · At least 5 years of hands-on, progressively responsible accounting experience

    · Strong working knowledge of GAAP, and general ledger transactions, including account reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll regulations, procedures and reporting, income tax requirements, corporate banking, and internal controls

    · Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

    · Excellent oral and written communication skills

    · Strong managerial aptitude and the ability to easily explain concepts and articulate information to co-workers, management, clients, investors, shareholders, bankers, and external auditors

    Preferred

    · CPA certification

    · Previous public accounting / audit experience

    · Previous accounting automation implementations

    · 1-2 years of managerial experience

    Benefits

    · Expected salary range: $130,000 – 150,000, depending on experience and qualifications
