    Job Summary

    We are seeking a DAS Technician for DAS/wireless installation projects. This position will predominantly be working in the Midwest. Residence in Chicago/Milwaukee area preferred. The DAS Technician is responsible for developing and deploying the successful implementation of DAS Construction projects. They must also have experience adhering to schedules, following instructions, and excelling in self-performing duties. The DAS Technician must work with professionalism with team members, clients, contractors, and vendors.

    Responsibilities:
    What You Will Do

    Read and understand construction drawings, with a strong understanding of RF theory
    Install and terminate coax, fiber optic, and power cable (such as 1⁄4", 1⁄2", and 7/8" coax cable and –48V low voltage power wire)
    With minimal direction for installations and maintenance of DAS Systems, operate coax test gear (Anritsu Sweep & PIM)
    Create, test, and interpret coax test results and produce coax reports.

    Work with minimal direction for:
    installations and maintenance of DAS Systems
    Troubleshoot fiber optic issues and coax cable with test gear (Anritsu Sweep & PIM) to achieve passing results
    Perform small upgrades such as American Tower Cat 2 with minimum supervision
    Program IP addresses in DAS equipment/NOC integrations and work with a variety of DAS equipment manufactures
    Able to lead crews on medium sized installations and maintenance jobs
    Train junior techs on all DAS aspects
    Splice and test fiber
    Will ensure safety while including all aspects of PPE per the Centerline Safety Program Guidelines

    Qualifications:
    What You Will Need

    2-4 years DAS/telecom experience
    High School Diploma/GED
    Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the company insurance policy.
    Flexibility with ever-changing environments and priorities.
    Desire to expand knowledge base and skills through on-site training as well as training by various manufacturers, trainers, contractors, and team members
    Basic technical proficiency and understanding of Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Self-motivated; exhibits initiative in achieving company goals and objectives

    Strong leadership skills and ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks

    Ability to work independently and in a team environment

    Strong attention to detail

    Ability to accept and provide constructive feedback
    Ability to maintain and priortize a safe work environment

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time and non-exempt position.
    Days of work are Monday through Friday.
    Some evenings are required.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. Ability to work outside in all elements, including but not limited to snow, rain, and varying temperatures.
    The employee may be required to walk long distances, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may drive for extended periods of time.

    The employee must have the ability to lift, squat, climb ladders, work above head, lift/maneuver up to 100lbs, stand/walk for long periods.
