- Sterilization Procedures: Perform proper sterilization techniques for dental instruments and equipment following established protocols and guidelines.
- Instrument Processing: Clean, disinfect, and prepare dental instruments and equipment for sterilization.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and monitor sterilization equipment, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory of sterilization supplies, including ordering, stocking, and organizing supplies as needed.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulations set forth by relevant governing bodies, such as OSHA and CDC.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and procedures, including instrument tracking and maintenance logs.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other dental staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to sterilization protocols.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure the highest standards of sterilization and infection control are maintained.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in sterilization techniques and infection control protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- No dental experience required
- Certification or training in dental sterilization techniques is preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and regulations.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
