    Overview:
    This position is responsible for managing all technical accounting and related reporting of Hard Rocks global businesses.

    This role is also instrumental in providing financial leadership and supporting new and existing programs to ensure compliance with accounting standards and facilitate periodic financial reporting.


    Responsibilities:


    Adhere to Seminole Hard Rock Support Services policies and proceduresPlay an integral role in managing a highly responsive technical reporting department that interfaces across the organization to support key business initiatives.

    Research and analyze technical positions and compliance efforts related to local US GAAP, IFRS, GASB and other country by country GAAPs.

    Proactively research and implement new standards, pronouncements and policiesTimely prepare memos, summarizing issues, conclusions and rationale for key accounting policiesServe as the key contact for technical accounting consultants and manage deliverablesMaintain fixed assets, operating and finance leases (ASC 842), derivatives, investments, loan and interest, equity, non-controlling interest, intercompany and other schedulesReview reconciliations, workbooks and supporting documents for monthly journals and periodic reportingLiaise with internal financial reporting and external audit teams, and other stakeholders to address queries and meet reporting deadlinesPrepare financial statement disclosures relating to technical accounting areasMaintain lease database and other software applications to support periodic reportingCoordinate monthly with property controllers, IT, members of finance, tax, treasury, legal, merchandise and other departments to obtain necessary information and analysis to support reporting requirementsPrepare analysis of statutory GAAP to US GAAP differences for foreign locations.

    Drive process improvements and efficiencies related to technical reporting, including the amalgamation of information from various propertiesTeach/coach and document employees who fail to meet standards to maintain a high quality workforce.

    Present a professional image to employees, guests, clients, owners and investors.
    Operate ethically and in accordance with professional standards.


    Other projects as requiredQualifications:
    Bachelors degree in Accounting with advanced Masters degree preferred.
    CPA or equivalent certification required.

    A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including ASC 842 and 606 implementationMust possess excellent time management skillsStrong communication skills, including being a good listener and articulating complex issues in a crisp, compelling, and insightful manner.

    Microsoft Office proficiency.
