The Component Repair Technician will disassemble, clean, troubleshoot, overhaul, and repair a variety of electrical/mechanical devices used on commercial aircraft in accordance with component maintenance manuals, repair station manuals, and FAA requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with moderate supervision, performs electronic, electromechanical and mechanical repairs to aviation components including:
- Disassembly, cleaning, troubleshooting, overhaul, and repair to ensure that units meet required specifications and customer requirements.
- Interpret component maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders and other documents as required.
- Utilize small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Understand and follow verbal instructions and execute to meet deadlines
- Accurately measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges and scales.
- Document work performed as set forth by company and customer maintenance programs.
- Receive and inspect incoming material and repair orders for accuracy.
- Demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Pass a DOT drug test.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and take initiative when required.
- Basic Shop Math.
- Basic knowledge regarding concepts, theories and principles of aerodynamics, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Routinely lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
- Stand for long periods of time, with frequent bending, squatting, kneeling and stooping.
- Use hands to reach and feel, with repetitive motion.
- Good finger dexterity.
- Read, write, speak, and understands American English fluently.
- Visual acuity correctable to 20/20.
- Work with and around products and materials associated with aircraft maintenance utilizing provided PPE when necessary.
PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience performing tear down, troubleshooting, overhaul and repair duties on electrical/mechanical components.
- Aerospace shop experience and FAA A/P License a plus but not required.
BENEFITS:
- Hourly position estimated at $18$22/hr based on experience plus the possibility of overtime hours.
- Monday through Friday, 1st Shift (must be available to work overtime when required).

Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour

No less than 40 per week
