As our Warehouse Manager you would be responsible for the efficient material management operations of our warehouses supporting one of Minnesotas largest infrastructure projects. This Role is responsible for receiving, coordinating preassembly, material kitting, quality control, and delivery of critical construction components and materials needed to complete this project. The Warehouse Manager is a critical role of the Project Team and key to the success of this project. You will be working daily with the Project Team Leads and actively collaborating on process improvement while you assist warehouse team members and craft labor to complete their daily tasks.
**What youll do:**
Warehouse
Demonstrate and incorporate safety protocols for yourself and Team members.
Plan and execute a clean, safe work environment for self and co-workers
Develop processes and systems to organize the warehouse areas into systematic storage and assembly area that result in an efficient work flow
Manage a staff responsible for all warehouse and pre assembly tasks (2-6 persons)
Lead teams in material prefab/preassembly orders needed
Work closely with trained craft crews performing prefab tasks.
Manage Documentation for all warehouse and material management activities.
Shipping/Receiving
Coordinate deliveries (in/out)
Coordinate pick up from customers, vendors, and/or project sites
Confirm accurate deliveries (in/out)
Configure efficient routes to have items delivered and/or picked up
Complete all documentation and material inspections required
Troubleshoot discrepancies
Label and store items systematically for distribution
Notify appropriate person(s) of items received item(s)
General
Assist with Asset Management
Safeguard company property
Manage and log all assets in warehouse
Label and identify new assets as they are purchased
Physical Requirements:
Use of lifting equipment to ensure safe lifting
Carry upto 50 pounds and know when teamlift is needed
Fast pace
Working Conditions (environmental characteristics):
Noisy areas (hearing protection as needed)
Outdoor weather conditions (all seasons)
Fumes and/or Dust (mask use as needed)
Chemical Control (Gasoline, Diesel, Propane, Paints, Lubricants, etc.)
Operate and Manage Operators of Material handling equipment
Multi shift requirements
Internal/External Customer Relationship management
**Who you are:**
Servant Leader, Great Example, Teacher, and Manager
Commercial Driver License (CDL) (preferred)
Undergraduate in Logistics and Material Management.
In lieu of a degree, High School Diploma or Equivalent with 10+ years in Warehouse or Material Management.
Fluent computer skills
Forklift training/certifications preferred
Driven and Productive individual who develops and follows critical procedures.
