Duties:


  • You will publish and maintain the command's Operations Security (OPSEC) plan, policies, and instructions, ensuring compliance and oversight within the entire domain.
  • You will organize and lead an effective command Operations Security (OPSEC) Working Group (WG) and command OPSEC team to review Operations Security (OPSEC) materials, evaluate program progress, and make recommendations for program improvements.
  • You will develop and maintain the Commander's approval on the Command's Critical Information List (CIL) and ensure Command's Critical Information List (CILs) are posted appropriately throughout command spaces.
  • You will ensure the Operations Security (OPSEC) program identifies vulnerabilities and correspondingly allots and employs resources to ensure Operations Security (OPSEC) measures provide the appropriate level of protection for all applicable threats.
  • You will conduct annual reviews of Operations Security (OPSEC) procedures for the command and its subordinates to improve the overall command force protection program.
  • You will oversee command Operations Security (OPSEC) training execution and compliance.
  • You will advise the Commander on Operations Security (OPSEC) vulnerabilities, requirements, and policy updates.
  • You will coordinate the development of Operations Security (OPSEC) related portions of operations plans, orders, investigations, and inspections. Incorporate Operations Security (OPSEC) into exercises.

  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Males born after must be registered for Selective Service.
  • PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • This position may require a 2year DCIPS Trial Period.
  • This position may require successful completion of a counterintelligence (CI) scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications:


  • Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:
  • Developing, communicating, and implementing Operations Security (OPSEC) policies, instructions, and procedures for the organization.
  • Publishing and maintaining the organizations Operations Security (OPSEC) plan.
  • Identifying Operations Security (OPSEC) vulnerabilities and correspondingly allots/employs resources to ensure Operations Security (OPSEC) measures provide the appropriate level of protection for all applicable threats.
  • Conducting annual reviews of Operations Security (OPSEC) policies/procedures to improve the organizations overall force protection program.
