    About the Role:
    We buy and sell products. Products are the engine of our business, touching all departments. The

    Buyer/Category Manager manages our entire catalog of drone products.

    He/she analyzes industry and consumer trends, develops strategies, and oversees pricing, promotion, product range management, and product expansion to maximize sales and profitability.


    What You'll Do:
    Ensure our product offering is the most competitive in the industry.
    Own our product expansion roadmap, strategizing whether, when, and how to launch new products.
    Maintain meaningful relationships with our vendors. Have a pricing mindset and always be working to negotiate better terms.
    Understand the lifecycles, capabilities, compatibilities, specs, etc., of all our flagship UAS products.
    Ensure we are maintaining optimal inventory levels to achieve our sales goals. Manage our aging inventory through structured discounting strategies, liquidations, etc.

    Manage our RMA processes and advocate for us and our customers to our vendors on product issues while protecting our resources from getting involved in manufacturing issues.

    Ensure our CS and tech teams meet the requirements set by our vendors; push back/negotiate with vendors on unreasonable requirements.

    Ensure product-specific requirements, training, etc, are executed by our team.
    Support the digital marketing team with product knowledge, advertising strategy, content marketing, and promotions.

    Must be able to synthesize all these requirements and ensure Sales and Operations collaborate to successfully sell and support the products while meeting vendor expectations.


    What You'll Bring:
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
    3+ years of purchasing/consumer electronics experience
    Exceptional digital skills; ability to learn new software quickly.
    Must be proficient in MS Excel and Google Suite.
    Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
    Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
    Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

    Experience with e-commerce and enterprise web publishing systems (ideally Magento) and significant marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, etc) is a big plus.

    Existing relationships with current major drone manufacturers are a huge plus but not required.
    Manage projects and work cross-functionally between teams, overcome bottlenecks, manage stakeholder expectations, and deliver results.
