Job Description:


Ares Management is seeking a new Associate to join our Global Client Solutions Group (GCS) in support of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of GCS, Head of Global Conferences & Events and other leadership across GCS.

This position will cover a workload including both on-going responsibilities to run existing processes as well as project leverage (including but not limited to coordination of information flow, research, budget tracking, analytics, materials prep, event coordination, logistics, roadshows, etc.).

Primary functions and responsibilities- Support the COO of Global Client Solutions in initiatives relating to GCS Operations, Investor Strategy & Solutions, and Relationship Management across all platforms of Ares Management- Execute and manage certain processes on behalf of the COO of GCS and the Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer- Draft and update presentations including ARES Board of Director materials, Annual Investor Day presentations, internal Leadership Offsite materials, general marketing-related presentations and other ad hoc requests from the COO and GCS Leadership- Proactively facilitate information flow for the broader GCS team, working closely with all sub-groups including: GCS Operations, Global Conferences & Events, Investor Operations, Strategic Partnerships, Quantitative Research, RFP, as well as Regional and Channel Marketing Teams across North Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific regions- Work with Global Client Solutions and Investor Relations / Product Management teams to streamline and centralize processes across different groups including Operations, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, and Investment Groups- Assist in developing and implementing new workflows utilizing technology to improve current processes- Assist with the compilation and distribution of fund-focused factsheets and resources across GCS and Investor Relations / Product management teams- Assist with annual budget preparation and tracking, invoice coding, and any reconciliations as needed- Prepare and compile Weekly Marketing Call materials for Monday morning meetings and distribute a summary of Marketing Meeting Call notes, as needed- Assist in Managing subscriptions and certain invoices for GCS and Investor Relations / Product Management teams.

Including managing account relationships, onboarding, and removing members, tracking, budgeting, renewing licenses, reviewing contracts and payment terms, and acting as the overall point of contact with the account manager- Facilitate onboarding set up process for new hires within GCS, confirming addition to relevant distribution lists and calendar invites, appropriate folder access, and technology set up of key software- Manage org chart updates for current GCS team structure and for future outlook, including open roles- Provide leverage to the GCS Conferences & Events team as needed- Organize and prepare for investor meetings, including coordinating meetings, creating agendas, scheduling tours, and ensuring that all materials are prepared in a timely manner- Assist with coordination of projects across GCS, Investor Relations / Product Management, Wealth Management Solutions and Public Investor Relations and Communications- Collaborate with the GCS Operations team to streamline processes of information exchange across departments internally including Operations, Corporate Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, and Investment Teams


Qualifications:


Education:


  • A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a major in Economics, Political Science, Finance, General Business or Management, and outstanding academic achievement.

Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum of 5+ years of related experience, preferably in investment / wealth management, business management / strategy, accounting or financial services- Outstanding communication, writing and interpersonal skills-
