We are currently seeking a shipbuilding methodologist (m/f/d) for the equipment of cruise ships for a renowned company in Wismar, starting as soon as possible.

Your responsibilities as a shipbuilding methodologist (m/f/d) include:

  • Developing methods for the production and assembly of equipment components in collaboration with design, production, and suppliers
  • Typical examples of equipment components to be processed include:
    • Equipment for the ship's engine room, such as thrusters, engines, modules, pumps, valves, pipes, and floor plates
    • Equipment for the superstructure, such as pipes, cable trays, and air ducts
    • Cables and electrical/electronic components
    • Equipment for the boat deck, including boats, davits, and handrails
    • Installation and connection of finished cabins and balconies
    • Elevators and lift machinery rooms

Your experience and interests ideally lie in several of these areas.

  • Defining which phase of the shipbuilding process each equipment part is installed in (e.g. during section outfitting or during the ship's dry dock period)
  • Determining the assembly sequence of equipment components
