Job Description:


We are currently seeking a Technical Inspector for all planning documents related to the production of equipment and piping systems for the process industry at Cumberland Gap.

This includes reviewing specifications, design calculations, and production and acceptance plans.

The role also involves conducting strength, stability, and safety calculations for vessels, equipment, columns, piping systems, and tank and silo structures, in accordance with national and international regulations (PED, AD 2000, EN 13445, EN 13480, ASME Code, etc.).

The ideal candidate will have experience working with current finite element programs such as ANSYS, RSTAB, ROHR2, and CAESAR2.

They will also be responsible for evaluating material suitability and planned production processes to meet operational requirements, production processes, and quality and regulatory standards.

Additionally, the role will involve supporting engineering firms and operators in the planning of process plants, equipment design, and the creation of project and equipment specifications.


Qualifications:


The ideal candidate will have an open-minded, communicative attitude, and strong team spirit, along with a good understanding of mechanics.


They should also possess the following qualifications:

  • A completed engineering degree, such as in equipment and plant engineering, civil engineering, or mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge of materials and welding technology
  • Excellent knowledge of strength calculations
  • Fluent in German and good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
  • Proficient in specialized software, MS Office applications, and SAP
  • Strong negotiation
