General Summary:


This position oversees the day-to-day operations of the New Jersey Connect for Recovery Family Warm-line and supervises Family Recovery Warm-line Peers.

This position requires knowledge and lived experience of 12-step support groups such as Al-Anon, and Nar-Anon, and personal knowledge and understanding of the addicted family system.

Working knowledge of the CRAFT, WRAP, Intentional Peer Support, and other modes of family peer to peer support.


Duties:


  • Recruit, train, and supervise paid Family Peer Specialists to staff the NJCR Call Line.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and provide services at remote locations, as necessary. Work collaboratively on projects.
  • Community outreach presentations and ability to facilitate family support meetings and provide/coordinate basic public presentations
- virtual and in person.

  • Ensure that all calls received are responded to and properly documented and messaged returned ASAP.
  • Maintain an accurate staff schedule, handle callouts and other coverage issues.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:


  • Lived experience of 12step programs, treatment, harm reduction and addiction impact on families.
  • Ability to develop a strong rapport, by sharing authentically and validating others' experiences.
  • Creativity and optimism and the ability to tolerate and appreciate others' differences.
  • Clear, concise, and effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to relate and interact successfully with persons of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.
  • Ability to deal with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and a shared frame of reference.
  • Knowledge of program and staff management or willingness to train immediately.

Education
HS diploma minimum, Associates or BA a plus/preferred. CADC or other addiction training or licensure preferred.


Pay:
$55, $60,000.00 per year
