    Senior Accountant 9551

    Duties

    Prepare journal entries for Asset, Liability, Revenue & Expense Accounts,
    Prepare bank reconciliation and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, research & resolve

    discrepancies/variances,
    Prepare weekly cash forecast,
    Create presentation of reports, budgets, and financial statements
    Create financial reports specifically designed to track financial progress of projects,
    Manage audit requests from internal and external sources,
    Prepare sales/use and property tax filings for various jurisdictions,
    Record intercompany transactions,
    Monitor payroll, revenue, expenses, cash flow; coordinate the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; prepare special reports,
    Analyze financial statements to ensure appropriate application of GAAP,
    Identify and research discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to management's attention with proposed solutions,
    Other duties and special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelors in Accounting from an accredited university
    3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced complex environment
    CPA a plus, but not required
    Demonstrate professionalism
    Service oriented
    Have a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
    Demonstrate initiative
    Multi-task and set priorities effectively
    Accomplish goals in a team environment
    Attention to detail
    Strive for excellence
    Possess a positive "can do" attitude
    Flexible and adaptive to change
    Proficiency in MS Office programs
    Strong MS Excel skills including Vlookup formulas and Pivot Tables
    Payroll experience a plus, but not required
    Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    Percentage of completion revenue recognition experience preferred but not required
