UPMC East is hiring a Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse to support the 5 East Medicine Unit at our Monroeville location.

This floor also sees a number of Oncology patients.

We are looking for a Full-Time candidate who is willing to work rotating shifts. There is also a weekend and holiday requirement.

UPMC Comprehensive Chemotherapy and Biotherapy training offered after six months.

• Pathophysiology and pharmacology topics reviewed over several weeks
• Comprehensive exam and skills training for administration of chemotherapy and biotherapy agents
• Excellent skill for any nurse interested in caring for oncology patients

This position is eligible for a generous sign-on bonus


Sign-On Bonus Details:
$15,000 for graduate nurses

$20,000 for registered nurses with one or more years of experience

Candidates hired into a sign-on bonus eligible role will be asked to make a two-year work commitment.

Qualifications:

• BSN preferred.

• Good clinical judgment with critical thinking, analytical and problem solving abilities required as related to various aspects of patient care.

• Mobility and visual manual dexterity.
• Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting and positioning of patients.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• UPMC approved national certification preferred.
• Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
• NIH required within 6 months of hire date
• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Registered Nurse (RN)
