- UPMC-approved national certification is preferred.
- NIH Certification will be required within 6 months of hire.
- CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Act 33, 34, and 73 with renewal.

Purpose:
The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) and a member of the care delivery team. The Professional Staff Nurse is responsible for setting the standards for the level and quality of care.
