Tasks and Process

As a foundry mechanic, you will use reusable casting molds and liquid metal to produce workpieces. In addition to melting metals in blast furnaces, you will prepare casting molds based on models. You are responsible for monitoring the automated pressure and die-casting machines in production. You are also responsible for minor repairs and maintenance of production facilities. During your apprenticeship, you will learn about many exciting topics. For example, you will be taught the basics of manufacturing technology, basic techniques of molding, melting, and casting, and quality assurance. You will then have the opportunity to apply this theoretical knowledge practically and make an important contribution to the success of our products and our company.
