Amentum is looking for an Inventory Coordinator/Procurement Professional to join the 1st Shift industrial maintenance team in Lafayette, IN.



Work Schedule:
  • Typical hours are from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with flexibility based on business demand.
  • Overtime may be required, especially during seasonal peaks or machine downtime.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the purchase order requisition process.
  • Coordinate and schedule facilities soft services like pest control and lawn care.
  • Manage purchasing, receiving, and inventory control tasks for spare parts.

Additional Duties:
  • Parts ordering, tracking, and vendor communication.
  • Obtain price estimates for parts and services.
  • Coordinate service requests with Procurement and clients.
  • Support pricing and vendor sourcing.
  • Enforce safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in developing team and vendor performance metrics.
  • Act as a backup for chemical ordering.


Minimum Requirements:
  • At least two years of experience in materials management or procurement.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.

Physical Requirements:
  • Repetitive wrist movement may be necessary.
  • Ability to read and comprehend various documents.
  • Experience in using office equipment and computer software.
  • Occasional travel to different locations.
  • Good communication skills and fluency in computer use.

Special Requirements:
  • Wear safety gear as needed.
  • Handle job-related stressors effectively.
  • Familiarity with facilities equipment like HVAC and plumbing.
  • Previous experience in purchasing or subcontracting.
  • Experience with CMMS.
  • Experience overseeing storeroom operations.
