The Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom in the Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED), is currently seeking a Student Assistant to join their team of professionals


Duties to include:

  • Assist with events
  • Participates in student study sessions with 4 Senior Leadership Fellows
  • Supports Director and staff in office related duties

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Customer service knowledge
  • Basic level of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently as needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.

Desired Qualifications:

Organizational skills, bilingual, and some event organizational experience

Student Disclosure:


  • Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters.
  • During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated.
  • Upon graduating, student employment must end.

Work Schedule:

20 hours per week
( 1- 5pm) might have some evenings when events are held


Advertised Salary:

$12.00/hour
