About Our Assembly Systems Technician

It's a physical job - you may be on your feet for 90% to 95% of your workday. You will be expected to safely lift and carry items up to 50 pounds. Bending, stretching, and climbing ladders will be daily activities.


Responsibilities:


  • Interpret and follow written work instructions, technical specifications, and engineering drawings; complete tubing, electrical wiring, and circuits
  • Perform functional product testing utilizing nitrogen and helium; complete hydrostatic testing
  • Partner with engineering to troubleshoot any issues and execute any changes needed; complete non conformance reports in Welker's ERP system as needed
  • Assemble a wide range of Welker products; support in other areas including painting and sandblasting as needed

Qualifications:


  • Comfortable in a warehouse setting and working outdoors in areas without climate control; ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
  • Two plus years of assembly, mechanical, and/or supply chain experience; adept at working in a fastpaced manufacturing environment
  • Basic math skills and ability to read a standard tape measure
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Forklift experience a plus; training and certification provided as needed
This is a full-time, day shift position with the occasional opportunity for overtime. Starting salary is based on education, experience, and potential.
