Description
The
Supplier Development Specialist will get a chance to interact with the Sourcing, Product Management and Quality Departments along with SRI's Global Supply Chain Partners to strategic and Improvement programs.
This entry-level role is a perfect opportunity for an aspiring an engineering or supply chain professional who would like to learn how a leader in global sourcing develops and builds relationships with manufacturers around the globe.
The SDM will become the hands-on Field Liaison and Leader between all SRI Global Suppliers and SRI Sourcing, Purchasing and Quality Departments.
Responsibilities
- A key member of the Supplier Development Team who will assist the team in meeting related and required business objectives.
- Support SRI and Supply Partner's strategy to drive compliance and performance via quarterly scorecard reviews, feedback and the continual improvement processes.
- Ensures that supplier development activities are identified, monitored, and, reported.
- Drive continual improvement of supplier quality, delivery and communication performance
- Interact with and report to key stakeholders regarding Supplier improvement progress.
- Help determine supplier key process indicators (KPI's) and exercise the effective use of data analysis and performance results.
- Identify and communicate the requirements for component qualification.
Education
- BS or BA degree, (Engineering Sciences or Supply Chain Management could be an advantage).
Qualifications

- Independent, professional, motivated, tenacious, and amiable selfstarter
- Able willingness to travel abroad, ~50% annually with valid U.S. passport, no restrictions
- Demonstrated ability to achieve goals through timely decision making with the ability to prioritize, plan, monitor and present progress
- Multilingual (Spanish/Mandarin) would be a plus
- Interpersonal skills to develop positive relationships with internal and external customers
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including MS Project
