    Job Description

    Job Description Fortegra is looking for a corporate attorney with prior experience handling employment matters, contract negotiation, vendor management, corporate governance, and/or transactional work.

    This position will be responsible for advising on compliance with employment laws, reviewing and negotiating contracts, corporate governance, and providing legal support on a range of other corporate matters.

    Fortegra is a collaborative working environment that is focused on profitable growth. This position may be filled at the Company's headquarters in our Jacksonville FL, Washington DC or Iselin NJ offices.
    Advise on federal and state employment laws and corporate governance
    Assist on a wide range of other corporate legal matters, including acquisitions and vendor management
    Draft contracts, negotiate amendments and prepare other corporate documents

    Qualifications
    ~ Juris Doctorate required
    ~5-10 years of legal experience
    ~ State Bar Membership (any state)
    ~ General corporate law experience, including employment law and corporate governance
    ~ Knowledgeable advocate who can work effectively with business leaders and manage outside counsel
    ~ Experience in other corporate areas, including M&A, preferred but not required
    ~ Insurance or other Financial Services experience a plus but not required
