Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Asst. Transportation Manager to oversee our transportation operations. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing drivers and your team, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize efficiency
  • Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including route planning, vehicle assignments, and driver schedules
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards
  • Manage a team of drivers, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records of transportation activities, including driver logs, vehicle maintenance records, and fuel consumption
  • Work with school districts to ensure customer satisfaction

Experience:


  • Proven experience as an Assistant Transportation Manager or similar role in the logistics industry
  • Indepth knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
  • Proficient in using transportation management software and systems
We offer competitive compensation based on experience.


Pay:
From $75,000.00 per year
