JOB SUMMARY:
The Radiology Coordinator is responsible for greeting/registering patients, scheduling and coordinating patients' examination, answering the telephone, preparing daily schedules, entering and reviewing radiology charges, obtaining/checking insurance authorizations, entering pro fees for the Radiologist interpretations, image releases and acquisitions from other facilities, faxing radiology reports to provider office, training covering staff, coordinating resources for imaging studies, and collaborating with staff to ensure smooth operation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, minimum two years working in an office setting; must have computer skills and some medical coding; familiarity with medical terminology is necessary, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain positive interactions with staff and patients while multi-tasking.
