    My client, a market leading Digital Health company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Software Development to lead their enterprise software development team.

    The Director of Software Development will be responsible for managing a team of software architects, front/backend/full stack software engineers, QA Engineers, and other technical staff.


    The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable and efficient SaaS software systems to support business objectives.


    Responsibilities:


    Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex, SOC II-compliant, enterprise-level SaaS applications, ensuring high standards of software quality and performance.

    Lead and manage a team of software developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

    In collaboration with our Software Systems Operation and Support Team, be responsible for the design, implementation, and deployment of our cloud-based software systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

    Architect data flow systems that facilitate efficient and secure transfer of data within and across different components of our ecosystem.

    Champion new ideas, capabilities and digital offering solutions needed to drive business growth across connected businesses.

    Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in software development and quality assurance, and incorporate relevant advancements into our processes and workflows.


    Skills & Requirements:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
    Practical experience in establishing software testing processes including unit testing, integration testing, A/B testing and regression testing.
    Experience and understanding of real-time data messaging tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.

    Familiarity with tools that facilitate real-time audio transcription and translation, possibly integrating with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, is an advantage.

    Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
    Extensive experience with agile development methodologies, continuous integration, and deployment practices.
    Strong understanding of HIPPA regulations and software compliance requirements in healthcare industry.
    Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

    Prior experience in a leadership or management role, with a track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams is a must have.
