- Assist the director in maintaining 24hour accountability for the operation of the hospital pharmacy
- Department scheduling
- Aid the director in personnel functions for the department, including recruitment, hiring, disciplinary actions, evaluations, counseling, and education
- Monitor the work performance of staff and advise the Pharmacy Director of performance issues and progress of new staff members
- Ensure compliance with USP 797/800 standards and assist the Compliance manager in ensuring processes are followed appropriately
- Evaluate workflow in the Pharmacy and devise strategies for efficiency
- Initiate and implement quality improvement projects in the pharmacy
- Oversee Pharmacy inventory and work with Pharmacy Purchaser to ensure that products and supplies are sufficient to meet department and hospital demands
- Represent the department in committee meetings as assigned
- Interact frequently with the Health System Information Systems department to manage
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Pharm. D.
- Five years of pharmacy experience, one of which was in a hospital setting.
- Management experience highly preferred
