Medical Receptionist/Front Desk Representative
Chesapeake ENT, a division of Chesapeake Specialty Care has an opening for a Medical Receptionist/Front Desk position.
This position requires travel between up to 4 locations: Owings Mills, Rosedale, Columbia, and/or Westminster.
The hours of work are varied Monday through Friday, but between business hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM in 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
No weekends.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Register, check in, and check out patients.
- Schedule appointments.
- Collect copays and patient balances.
- Assist patients with insurance documents and billing questions.
- Ensure that patients have completed all necessary paperwork.
- Scan and enter referrals.
- Assist with pulling charts and filing paperwork.
- Maintain reception area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Preferred 1year medical front desk/receptionist experience.
- Basic office skills such as typing and filing.
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Personality and demeanor to deal with the public and assist ill, older, or distraught patients.
Education/Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Graduate of a certified medical office training course preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
