- General Description: Direct, manage, supervise, and evaluate the transportation operation and safety ensuring compliance with all requirements for daily programs and activities.
- Performance Responsibilities:
- Direct department operations such as budgeting, safety programs, and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate safety training for bus drivers and staff.
- Manage accident and insurance claims.
- Design and update bus routes efficiently and safely.
- Resolve transportation issues and liaise with parents.
- Administer the transportation budget.
- Ensure compliance with transportation laws and policies.
- Monitor transportation programs and accidents.
- Assist in accident prevention and driver recruitment.
- Conduct training and maintain vehicles.
- Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school graduation or equivalent with bus driving experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Valid CDL driver's license.
- Experience in transportation and management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in: Business Administration, Management, Transportation or Logistics.

Reports to: Director of Transportation
Level / Grade: Administrator
Type of Position: Full-time
Hours / Work Year: Exempt / 12 month / IMRF FLSA
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 Annually
Interpersonal Contacts: The Manager of Operation and Safety interacts with District personnel, attorneys, and the public for investigations, policy interpretation, and program coordination.
Evaluation: Job performance evaluated according to District policy.
