We are currently looking for a new team member to join us in San Francisco as soon as possible.

Your responsibilities

  • As a Functional Safety Engineer, you will act as the interface between customers, suppliers, and internal departments, ensuring compliance with functional safety requirements in our product developments
  • Conducting and moderating project-specific safety analyses (FTA, FMEA, FMEDA, DFA, ...)
  • Deriving technical safety requirements and documenting them according to ISO 26262
  • Creating the safety concept and safety case to demonstrate functional safety
  • Reviewing norm-compliant product validation and providing release recommendations
  • Establishing a safety culture and transferring knowledge to colleagues

Your profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Certified knowledge in the field of functional safety according to IEC/EN 61508 and ISO 26262
  • Excellent understanding of electronics and software in safety-critical mechatronic systems and experience with safety analyses
  • Experience with ASPICE or APIS FMEA is desirable
  • Confident and reliable in dealing with customers and suppliers
  • Structured working style and strong communication skills
  • Fluent in German and very good
