Energy Economist (m/f/d)

Location: Frankfurt (Oder)

Working hours: Full-time

Employment type: As soon as possible, permanent

Your tasks:

  • You shape and monitor the procurement and trading strategy of the company and report directly to the management.
  • Together with your team, you are responsible for energy procurement and marketing on the term, spot, and intraday market (electricity, natural gas) and ensure the optimal management of all commodity portfolios.
  • You manage the commercial deployment and marketing of the company's generation plants and work closely with the specialist departments.
  • You monitor emissions management, such as the purchase of emission certificates according to the TEHG and BEHG, and communication with the DEHSt for emissions reporting.

Your profile:

  • Your foundation: You have a degree in natural sciences (ideally in mathematics or physics) or a comparable qualification and a strong interest in the energy industry.
  • You have experience in energy trading and/or consulting.
  • You possess strong problem-solving skills and logical-analytical thinking. You demonstrate your leadership skills and communication abilities.
  • Your proficient use of portfolio management systems, EDM and RPS systems, and MS Office is a given
