- Develop, document, implement, provide consultation on the application of, and ensure compliance with, requirements for use of client tools, processes and standards.
- Provide training and assistance in the utilization of processes and tools and supports the integration of engineering designs.
- Ensure regulatory requirements are met. Identify and validates user access roles, produces tip sheets and understands system interoperability.
- Provide configuration management, coordinate change, perform assessments of compliance and manage the implementation of product standards across Agency business units and programs.
- Represent Agency interests on external standards committees and develop, adapt and/or adopt external standards for internal use.
- Develop, maintain and distribute engineering documents, reports and correspondence to enable business activity.
- Collect, analyze and validate engineering performance metrics and coordinates organizational requirements to support business needs. Works under general direction.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to receive a DHS Public Trust
- Bachelor's Degree
- THREE (3) or more years of data analytics experience
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in computer science or related field
- 3+ years of professional related experience in data engineering, with a focus on processing large datasets
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks Lakehouse Platform
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java
- Experience with big data processing technologies such as Hadoop, Spark or AWS
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data management principles
- 5+ years of experience in Data Management.
- 2+ years of experience with US Federal Agency data
- Proven ability to embrace change, lead continuous improvement, and treat safety and quality as top priorities.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team.
- Experience working with senior and executive leadership
- Knowledge of Informatica AXON/IDQ, Collibra or other Data Quality tool
- Thorough business understanding of data management applications and ability to communicate with key decision-makers
